Join The Good Wood Guys for an evening of wood education and good fun. We will discuss basic wood terminology including end grain, edge grain, and face grain. We will also discuss wood identification before putting our knowledge to work on a project.
Guided by The Good Wood Guys, students will practice sanding, gluing, and assembly techniques using three end grain log cuts. Ultimately, they will make a wooden snowman complete with hat, scarf, and face. Completed snowmen will be approximately 16” wide at the base, and 48” tall.
Class will start at 5:30 at The Good Wood Guys, 816 20th Street N. Great Falls and run for approximately 90 minutes. Cost is $49 which includes materials need for one snowman. Sign up through GFC MSU Lifelong Learning.
